Our “Out on the Edge” adventures are pretty
much what the name implies:
treks into the far corners of Labrador away from any form of
civilization - even sporting camps. Guests fish on rivers that
have rarely if ever seen any angling activity. We support these
trips with the required logistical flights to set up tent
outpost camps and deliver fuel, supplies and canoes prior to
your arrival. Guests arrive in main camp at the start of their
trip, spend an optional day or two fishing our fertile Woods
River system, then fly to their new remote destination(s) to
continue their prescribed adventure.
Each trip is unique and is
designed to our guests’ wishes. We can design our “Edge”
trips for parties of one to four guests. There is no
time constraint or limit to the opportunities. Most of our
trips are seven days in duration, but shorter or extended treks
are readily available.
Drawing on our extensive
experiences exploring the Labrador back country, we offer
angling for brook trout on our river system and other
systems, landlocked and sea-run Arctic char, and
Atlantic salmon in Labrador’s coastal rivers. For our
hunting enthusiasts, we also offer a remote trophy caribou
component that can be added on either end of your angling
adventure.
The cost of these trips is
determined by several factors: the length of the trip, the
amount of required logistical flights, the total air miles in
moving guests to the different venues, and the number in your
group. Since all of our trips are guided on a one guide per two
guest basis, there is an additional charge for odd numbered
parties (one or three anglers). Of course current fuel costs
and the US-Canadian dollar exchange rates are also
cost-determining factors.
Please call or email us if you
are interested in discussing and “Edge” trip for you or
your group. Due to space limitations and planning requirements,
we need to have these trips determined by the end of the March
prior to your planned trip.
“Out on the Edge”
adventures are truly the fabled “trip of a lifetime”!
